Gmail users can easily configure their Gmail in other email accounts such as Outlook within shortest possible time. However, if you any users want to know the process that how to configure Gmail account in Outlook, so they can follow the given below steps.
First, open the Gmail account by entering Email and Password.
Go to “Gear” icon and choose “Settings” option.
Go to “Forwarding and POP/MAP mail” tab, and then choose “IMAP Access” section and “Enable IMAP” radio button.
Click the “Save change” option.
Open Microsoft Outlook 2007 or 2003 to set up a Gmail account.
In the Outlook 2003, go to “Tools” and then “E-mail Accounts” option
In the Outlook 2007, go to “Tools” and then “Account Settings” option.
Click the “New” option.
Check the “Manually configure server settings or additional server types” check box option.
Click “Next” button.
Click on the “Internet Email” option and enter the “User Information” such as Name and Email address.
Fill the “Server Information” such as “Account Type” is IMAP, “Incoming Mail Server” is "imap.gmail.com and “Outgoing Mail Server” is smtp.gmail.com.
Fill the “Logon Information” such as User Name and Password.
Click “More Settings” option.
Go to “Outgoing Server” tab and tick “My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication” and “Use same settings as my incoming mail server” radio button.
Select “Advanced” tab and then fill the values for Incoming Server and Outgoing Server.
Click “OK” then “Next” button.
Click “Close” then “Finish” button.
Click “OK” button.
Now Gmail account has configured in Outlook account.
